As I have said before, I am trying to incorporate more Kale in my diet because of the amazing health benefits of this green vegetable. I have tried out a bunch of smoothie recipes and came up with this little concoction! I have been making this delicious energy boosting smoothie at least two times a week since my husband gave me the Vitamix for Christmas. If you don’t have a Vitamix, I highly recommend you invest in one …. it is amazing!
Give this delicious smoothie a try for breakfast or a snack. You will get a boost of energy from all the good stuff in it! I especially like this recipe because you get a good amount of protein, leaving you feeling satisfied. Enjoy!
Kerry’s Green Energy Smoothie
Ingredients
- 2 leaves of Kale
- 1Tbsp of Ground Flax Seed
- Half of a Frozen Banana
- 1/2 cup of Blueberries ( fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup of Vanilla Unsweetened Almond Milk
- 1 Scoop of Protein Powder ( I like these two; Perfect Fit or Tera’s Whey in Vanilla)
- Handful of ice
Directions
Tear the kale from the stems and add to blender. Add all other ingredients and blend.
